About Laboratories

Aims

Laboratories (2813-8856) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal on laboratory management. It publishes reviews, research papers, and short communications. This journal has a multidisciplinary character, and our aim is to publish papers exploring all the aspects related to laboratory construction and maintenance, management and planning, equipment and supplies, automatization, hazards, and other pertinent topics.

Scope

This journal welcomes manuscripts on different aspects of laboratories. These are not limit to the following:

• Laboratories’ role in driving scientific and technological innovation through research and development.
• Innovation in the interaction between laboratories and quality industries.
• The critical analysis of existing legislation, proposals for improvement, and new aspects to be included.
• Good practices in biological laboratories, risks, and health.
• Occupational health and hygiene monitoring.
• Research results generated using novel methods or new equipment.
• New laboratories, construction, planning, equipment, computational tools, automatization, management, maintenance, and supplies.
• Laboratory hazardous waste management and process safety standards.
• Spills, safety legislation and practices, and related concerns.
• Fires and explosions.
• Protective equipment.
• Laboratory animals.
• Laboratory problems and challenges.
