Travel Award 2018 (600 CHF)
We are pleased to announce that Inventions will be launching a Travel Award for Junior Investigators in all fields of science, engineering, and product development processes. The nominations and applications will be assessed by an Evaluation Committee consisting of senior scholars from the Inventions Editorial Board.
–– Postdoc or PhD student.
–– Will attend an international conference in 2018 (oral presentation or poster).
Required Application Documents:
–– The conference that the candidate plans to attend and the abstract that will be submitted.
–– Curriculum Vitae and list of publications.
–– Justification letter describing the focus of the candidate’s research (max. 800 words).
–– Letter of recommendation from the candidate’s mentor.
–– After the meeting, the awardee must provide a copy of the page in the conference program showing the abstract/presentation and meeting badge that verifies his/her attendance.
The award, which consists of 600 CHF and a certificate, will be granted to the chosen junior investigator.

Travel Award 2017
We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2017 Inventions Travel Award for Junior Investigator, who will receive 300 CHF towards his travel expenses to attend an international conference in 2017.
The 2017 Inventions Travel Award has been granted to:
Dr. Reza Mehrabi, a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant in the Dynamic and Smart Systems Lab at the University of Toledo, OH, USA. Dr. Mehrabi has focused on the experimental and theoretical study of a 3D constitutive model under Multiaxial loading of shape memory alloys. His research focuses on modeling smart materials, additive manufacturing and biomechanics, computer-aided engineering, computational plasticity, and metal forming processes.
We would like to congratulate him on his excellent work and would also like to thank all applicants for their interesting and high-quality contributions. We also wish to thank the Scientific Committee members for their evaluation of the candidates.
