5th International Conference on Polyphenols and Health (ICPH)
Since 2003, when ICPH was initiated by Agustin Scalbert in Vichy, France, this biennial conference has increased the interest in polyphenols and health and has encouraged more researchers to engage in this field. After 2003, three more conferences have been celebrated. The 2th ICPH was located in United States, hosted at University of Davis, California, the 3th ICPH in Kyoto, Japan, and the last edition, in Harrogate, UK, maintaining the high scientific level and attendance each year.
The 5th International conference of Polyphenols and Health will include conference sessions in a large range of topics related with polyphenols and health, such as methodology, bioinformatics and metabolomics, biomarkers, polyphenols matrix effects, digestion, absorption and metabolism in the gastrointestinal system, relevant healthy effects on the cardiovascular, nervous, renal and respiratory systems, on the ageing process, the metabolic syndrome, role of polymorphisms and molecular biology, the fact of inflammation versus oxidative stress, polyphenols and food plants and so on.
