9–14 August 2018, Montreal, Canada
9th International Plant Biomechanics Conference

The International Plant Biomechanics Conferences (PBM) are a long-standing series organized by scientists. The inaugural conference was held in 1994 in Montpellier, France, and since then the conference has been held at three-year intervals. The Montréal conference is the second one held in North America and the first to be held in Canada.

The PBM series brings together high-profiled scientists working in more than 15 disciplines related to plant biomechanics, ranging from wood and tree mechanics to cell biology, from fundamental research to biomimetics, engineering and architecture. Participants are from the fields of biology, engineering, physics and mathematics.
