Acta Microbiologica Hellenica—Continued Publication by MDPI on Behalf of the Hellenic Society for Microbiology

We are pleased to announce that as of January 2024, Acta Microbiologica Hellenica is now being published by MDPI on behalf of the Hellenic Society for Microbiology.

Under MDPI's guidance, the journal will maintain its esteemed legacy while enhancing its global reach. Together with the Hellenic Society for Microbiology and the Editorial Board, we are committed to advancing the journal, offering exemplary service to the scientific community through the publication of high-quality, open access, peer-reviewed articles.

Established in 1956 as the official bimonthly journal of the Hellenic Society for Microbiology, Acta Microbiologica Hellenica has served as a vital educational platform for biopathologists, clinical microbiologists, and every scientist involved in laboratory and clinical medicine.

The journal joins a diverse portfolio of scholarly publications managed by MDPI in partnership with academic societies, and it will be published quarterly.

In an Editorial published in the journal, Prof. Athanasios Tsakris, Editor-in-Chief of Acta Microbiologica Hellenica and President of the Hellenic Society for Microbiology, wrote: "With great delight and pride, Acta Microbiologica Hellenica is now joining the MDPI family, aiming for international inclusiveness and impact through fruitful cooperation."
