Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The paper looks interesting and can be accepted to publication after minor revisions:

1. The spell-checks, grammatical and writing style errors of the paper must be improved.

2. The relevant discussion and content of the figures and tables in the text are not enough.

3.  Some future directions should be added to the conclusion section.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This paper is about the effect of brazing temperature on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-45Al-8Nb. The study shows interesting visual results. However, some clarifications are required for publication.

1. Figure 8 shows the maximum shear strength of 171.2 MPa at 930°C. However, there seems to be a lack of scientific justification for why the maximum shear strength is shown at 930°C. The authors suggested that at 960°C and 990°C, the Ti3Al in the reaction layer increased, as indicated in Figure 6e,g, resulting in a relatively coarse needle-like morphology, which is pretty brittle. However, this is ambiguous to explain based on microstructure images alone. How can the shear strength, which increased to 930°C, decrease significantly from 960°C? Has this phenomenon been observed in previous studies? The evidence needs to be refined. Much of the explanation relies on image results.

2. On line 152, the sentence "The white phase incorporates 7.01% Al, 10.16% Zr, 1.27% Nb, 37.16%Ti, 7.36% 152 Ni, 37.03% Cu by the EDS results." is not sufficient. Where was this EDS analyzed? This is not stated in the figure or table.

3. In "4. Discussion", is "4. Discussion" a typo? It should be "4. Conclusion".

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Title: Well-relate to the presented work.

Abstract: The abstract is well written to summarize the work done. However, the problem statement of the presented work was not well defined in this section.

How can the author justify the shear strength value of 171.2 MPa, what would be the suitable application, since it is much lower than stated in the literature by using Ag.

Overall, a good written manuscript. The other The preparation method was properly defined. The equipment involved was clearly described/presents. The results, analysis, and discussion are well explained.

The conclusion requires minor revision as it should be very concise and written within a single paragraph.

Comments on the Quality of English Language

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Dear authors,

The manuscript entitled "Brazing Temperature Effects on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Ti-45Al-8Nb Joints using TiZrCuNi Amorphous Interlayer" is simple and easy to follow. This topic is interesting and may be significance for further application. However, the authors need to elaborate the discussion to improve the quality of the paper. Some of my comments are as follows:

1. Abstract: Please add the significance of the findings.
2. Introduction: Please emphasize the novelty of this research. The authors can refer to previous published studies to show the position of this research.
3. Introduction, line 67: These parameters shall be analyzed and elaborate more in the discussion.
4. Method: Where is Figure 2b?
5. Method: The authors must explain the condition of analysis and the sample preparation for each analysis.
6. Section 4: It must be "Conclusion" instead of "Discussion"
7. Section 4 (Conclusion): Please make it in paragraph instead of point per point. Please add the significance of this work. Also pelase add the limitation of this works, and thus the authors can give the direction for future studies and/or application.
