Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Ms. Cara Li

Assistant Editor

The paper deals with Dynamic Behaviour of the Composite Steel-Concrete Beam Floor Systems under Free and Forced Vibration The paper is worth publishing however, the following concerns should be addressed in revising the manuscript:

  • Abstract-
  • It is preferable to add the most important results that support this search.
  • Introduction -
  • Adding a section on the scientific background of the research.
  • Experiment Methodology
  • Attach references and standard specifications for all tests
  • This part is very long, preferably shorter for ease of reading

Results and Comparison

A- This part is very long, preferably shorter for ease of reading

Discussion

  • Display the most important results to achieve the goal of the research

Thank you

Reviewer 2 Report

This is paper is good, but need extensive revision for novelty, critcsms of results and survey and comparisons of extensive literature for dynamic effecs:

1) Resonance effect has not been reviewed from literature and discussed in the discussion deeply. Under dynamic effect a deep diacussion of resonance is sginificant. Th following is useful for this:

*Güllü H.,Pala, M. (2014). On the resonance effect by dynamic soil structure interaction a revelation study. Natural Hazards, 72(2), 827-847., Doi: 10.1007/s11069-014-1039-1.

2) Dynamic charateristics of strong ground motions regaarding the effects of soil-structure interaction is lack in the study. This should be extensively reviewed by recommneded below and critcizied for the structure connections in the paper..

*Güllü, H.,Karabekmez M., (2017). Effect of near-fault and far-fault earthquakes on a historical masonry mosque through 3D dynamic soil-structure interaction. Engineering Structures, 152, 465-492., Doi: 10.1016/j.engstruct.2017.09.031.

*Güllü, H.,Jaf H.S (2016). Full 3D nonlinear time history analysis of dynamic soil structure interaction for a historical masonry arch bridge. Environmental Earth Sciences, 75(21), 1-17., Doi: 10.1007/s12665-016-6230-0.

3) Alternate experimental methods should be discussed for verifications and a wide perspective for readers:

*Güllü, H., Özel, F. Microtremor measurements and 3D dynamic soil–structure interaction analysis for a historical masonry arch bridge under the effects of near- and far-fault earthquakes. Environ Earth Sci  79,  338 (2020). https://doi.org/10.1007/s12665-020-09086-0

4) The organization of paper should be restructured as int. mat met, and results and discussions and conc.

5)Line 663. Section number should be added

6) Conclusions are not sufficeint what exact should be given for practice

7) Writing and english should be extensively improved.

 The suggested references are added.

2) Dynamic characteristics of strong ground motions regarding the effects of soil-structure interaction is lack in the study. This should be extensively reviewed by recommended below and criticized for the structure connections in the paper..

The paper was completely re-structured.

5)Line 663. Section number should be added

It was modified.

6) Conclusions are not sufficient what exact should be given for practice

The conclusion section was revised.

7) Writing and English should be extensively improved.

All sections were revised.
