Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The work examines several MCDM methods for hybrid operation of a wind farm. The introduction and the section devoted to describe MCDM methods are fair. However, I think that the experimental design as well as the results discussion need further clarification, because at the current state they do not provide the reader with all the insights to clearly understand the importance of the authors' work.

This is a very good paper. It properly shows the application of a mathematical method to a real world problem. Through this I come to the only observation I have to do to this research: recently the COST action TU1401 "Renewable energy and landscape quality" closed. I would like to see in the discussion how the alternatives are leading to more consideration to landscape, not just economic benefit. Otherwise the paper is well structured, the alternatives well chosen, and the different multi-criteria decision methods well employed. Congratulations to the authors and looking forward to see this paper as a reference.
