Rubén Villar-Navascués

Biography

Rubén Villar-Navascués is a postdoctoral researcher at the Interuniversity Institute of Geography of the University of Alicante, Spain, from which he obtained his PhD in Regional Spaces Planning in 2019. His research has focused on issues related to urban, tourist and agricultural water uses, management, planning, and users’ perception of unconventional water resources, hydrological and drought planning, water governance, and urban political ecology. He has participated in five research projects, including European, national and regional projects. Since 2019 he has collaborated as a lecturer for the Master in Planning and Management of Natural Risks and in a MOOC on natural risks developed through the MiriadaX platform. In addition, he completed a research stay at the University of Chile (Santiago) and has published about 15 articles in JCR and Scopus journals.
