David Zilberman
Biography
David Zilberman is a Professor and Extension Specialist in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, UC Berkeley. David was born in Israel and obtained his PhD at Berkeley. He has conducted fundamental research on the economics of the bioeconomy, water, farming systems, the environmental policy supply chain, and risk and pest control. He is the recipient of the 2019 Wolf Prize in Agriculture and a member of the US National Academy of Science and served as the 2018–2019 President of Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA), and he is a fellow of multiple scientific societies. He has served as a consultant to the USDA, CDFA, World Bank and FAO. He has also served as a consultant to Mars Corporation, BP and California commodity groups.
