Regina Neudert

Dr. Regina Neudert‘s work focuses on social and economic questions of land use but is deeply inspired by the need for conserving nature and achieving sustainable land use globally. As a trained landscape ecologist from Greifswald University, she is particularly interested in complex problems in sustainability science requiring interdisciplinary cooperation. Her interest moved from deeply understanding ecological systems to the economic side of land-use problems and, furthermore, to questions of how the governance of resources can contribute to sustainable management and use. Her work has focused on several projects, particularly on pastoralism in the Caucasus region, but she has also investigated land-use problems in Madagascar and Kyrgyzstan.
