Luise Heinrich

Luise Heinrich has a degree in environmental studies and sustainability science. She is specialized in transdisciplinary research. Within the field of deep-sea mining, Luise Heinrich is particularly interested in the quantification and regulation of greenhouse gas emissions and in the potential contribution of deep-sea mining to sustainable development. Prior to her work on deep-sea mining, Luise Heinrich studied the environmental, economic and social impacts of ocean acidification on fisheries and fishing communities. In addition to her research, Luise Heinrich is also involved in teaching environmental studies and sustainability science at her university.
