Philipp Pattberg

Dr. Philipp Pattberg is Professor of Transnational Environmental Policy and Governance at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where he heads the department of Environmental Policy Analysis (EPA). Philipp’s research focuses on non-state actors, private bottom-up governance and questions of institutional change and complexity. Philipp is currently the director of the Amsterdam Sustainability Institute, a collaborative platform for generating sustainability impact across all faculties at VU Amsterdam.
