Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This is an excellent paper that deals with micro-motion feature extraction of rotating target using pulse signal. The methodology is implemented and analysed using both experimental and numerical techniques. The paper is very well written, and the area is worthy of investigation with potential impact on micro-motion feature extraction. I recommend publication of the paper considering only minor revisions.

The introduction should be elaborated to wave interference in general in addition to the citation of the following papers.

https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijleo.2015.12.129

It is not clear how the numerical modelling is carried out for the results presented in section 4.1. Can I please urge the authors to present this in detail so that other fellow researchers can benefit from the methodology. Please include the most notable observation from the study as the last sentence of the abstract. Please present a brief description of the future direction of the research.

Possibly, you need to indicate geometrical parameters of the experimental installation and anechoic chamber.
