Round 2

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors have corrected the comments suggested by the reviewer. I propose its publication in the journal.

This manuscript is a resubmission of an earlier submission. The following is a list of the peer review reports and author responses from that submission.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper submitted by the authors presents a review of the implementation powder mixed in micro- EDM processes for microfabrication. By given special attention on the powder characteristic, such as concentration, electrical conductivity, shape, and size of the powder on the first hand and then on the description of the use of powder for obtaining a high material removal rate, the authors were able to elaborate some techniques used in powder mixed μ-EDM. The text is well written. However, it is hard to highlight the novelty of the paper.

With the above considerations, I would not recommend it for publication in the journal. As a suggestion, the authors should consider the following comments.

In Abstract, line 18, Replace "used" with "use"

It is not clear to this reviewer what how the electrical discharge machining involved the material removing throughout a series of electric sparks. What is the ignition phase in the process? Does the discharge Phase characterize by the workpiece receiving continuous heating? The following ref can be useful.

“A Review Paper on EDM Parameter of Composite material and Industrial Demand Material Machining”, Materials Today: Proceedings 2018, 5:5506–5513.

“Multi-attribute optimization of machining process parameters in powder mixed electro-discharge machining using TOPSIS and grey relational analysis”, Engineering Science and Technology, an International Journal2016, 19:62–70.

“Surfactant and graphite powder–assisted electrical discharge machining of titanium alloy”, Proc IMechE Part B:J Engineering Manufacture 2017, 234(4):641–657.

As a review paper, it is not quite attractive. There are neither images nor tables whether to illustrate an argument or to summarize some results and observations.
