Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear authors,

I read the manuscript with curiosity. The authors collected the current knowledge on TOR signaling, with particular emphasis on its participation in photosynthesis.

I have made my corrections and suggestions directly in the manuscript (attached).

I suggested quite a few linguistic / stylistic changes with which the authors do not have to agree. However, I am asking the authors to response on the substantive comments in their reply.

Reviewer 2 Report

The presented manuscript is conceived as a literary review. It presents new findings on rapamycin (TOR) kinase in plant metabolism, especially photosynthesis. The issue of the use of this enzyme in the defense responses of plants to stressors is not neglected either. Differences between the animal and yeast respective enzyme are also given, including the given signaling pathways. This is a current issue that can be used not only in theoretical but also in applied research. The overview is written carefully and summarizes current knowledge on this issue. I also appreciate his degree in education, so the text can be used in teaching. The text is written without significant grammatical shortcomings. I believe that the titles of magazines should be written in capital letters.

Author Response

As suggested, we change the titles of magazines into capital letters in the revised version. Now, the overall quality of the manuscript has been improved.
