About Journal of Nanotheranostics
Aims
The Journal of Nanotheranostics (JNT) (ISSN 2624-845X) is a peer-reviewed multidisciplinary open access platform at the intersection of nanotechnology and therapeutics/diagnostics. At its core, nanotheranostics represents the convergence of nanotechnology, molecular diagnostics and targeted therapies, transforming patient care by utilizing disease detection and precision treatment into a single workflow.
We serve as a premier forum for engineers, scientists and clinicians developing next-generation nanotheranostics. The journal publishes topical reviews, perspectives and opinion articles as well as exciting fundamental and translational research articles in the form of brief reports and full papers. Brief reports are reserved for the rapid dissemination of novel findings at an early stage of an investigation that carry wide-ranging implications for the journal’s audience. They do not need to be full or extensive studies.
JNT has no restrictions on the length of papers with exception of opinion articles and brief reports, which must not exceed 4 printed pages. Authors are encouraged to provide sufficient detail to ensure transparency, reproducibility and a clear presentation of their work while maintaining clarity and conciseness.
Scope
Our scope encompasses the design, synthesis and biological evaluation (in vitro and in vivo) of multifunctional nanoparticles, nanoscale devices and smart biomaterials that integrate advanced diagnostic and therapeutic modalities. We welcome submissions that cover, but are not limited to, the following:
- Nanomaterial advances in theranostic/radiotheranostic applications;
- Biophotonics and multimodal molecular imaging to track, visualize and quantify targeted drug delivery systems in real time;
- Engineering of smart nanoplatforms that interface directly with point-of-care devices for rapid theranostic workflow, including the use of biophotonics in lab-on-a-chip technologies;
- Structure-activity studies that map how design changes govern cellular entry, tissue distribution and performance of nanotheranostic platforms;
- Biocompatibility and safety profiling of nanotheranostic systems;
- Machine learning and artificial intelligence approaches aiding nanotheranostic platform design and performance;
- Regulatory, practice and environmental issues pertaining to nanotheranostics.
