Prof. Dr. Eric J. Jokela of the School of Forest Resources and Conservation, University of Florida is the founding Editor-in-Chief. In his opening editorial, Prof. Dr. Eric J. Jokelastated: “Our collective desire is to have Forests be recognized as the foremost publication outlet for high quality, leading edge research in this broad and diverse field. This goal, of course, will be dependent upon the readership and potential authors.” Forests welcomes theoretical and research papers that span the technological, environmental, cultural, economic, and social realm associated with the management, use, conservation, and understanding of forested ecosystems.
