Thomson Reuters has released the 2011 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), including a first impact factor of 0.676 for Nutrients.
Professor Peter Howe, the Editor-in-Chief, commented "This is an excellent start for a new open access journal in the health sciences and is a credit to the publishers, editorial board and contributors alike for ensuring a steadily growing output of quality papers, especially in the field of human nutrition. To date, Nutrients has published over 240 articles with almost 90 citations in 2011, making Nutrients one of the fastest growing journals in this field. Considering how recently Nutrients first appeared in PubMed, we can expect the impact factor to rise rapidly“.
