Title: “Is aortic aneurysm behavior after EVAR associated with aneurysm wall density on CTA?”

Dear Editor,

I read this manuscript and I think that:

-          Please avoid acronyms in the title.

-          Acronyms should be expressed at their first mention both in the abstract and in the main text. Please provide.

-          The small sample size is a limitation of the study. Please discuss such a point in a dedicated limitation section.

-          A post-hoc sample size calculation should be performed.

-          A table gathering the main characteristics of the study population should be provided.

Author Response

1.     The manuscript was revised for English, corrections can be found in the text marked.

2.     Introduction was revised and additional background information added, which You may find in the text

3.     and 4. It is not quite clear what should be improved in the design and we can not change it after completion, but we detailed the methodology which may answer some of the Reviewers questions. Please find the correction marked in the text.

5.     The presentation of the results was improved by adding tables and graphs, which may be found marked in the text.

6.     Conclusions were improved, please find in the text.

7.     Acronyms in the title were removed.

8.     Acronyms in the text and the abstract were explained at their first mentioning.

9.     Small sample size was discussed in more detail, please find it marked in the text.

10.  We did not provide post-hoc sample size calculations since our main findings are well below the p<0.05 statistical significance limit and thus we should not be concerned with insufficient statistical power.

11.  A table with baseline characteristics of the population was added to the manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report

This research manuscript demonstrates the potential use of aortic aneurysm (AA) wall density on computed tomography angiography (CTA) in monitoring abdominal AA growth after endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR). The manuscript is interesting and well-written. However, the following comments need to be addressed before the manuscript can be accepted for publications.

1)      Figure 1: please label the aortic wall and aortic lumen.

2)      The authors should include a figure for the Bland-Altman plot.

Author Response

1.     The manuscript was revised for English, corrections can be found in the text marked.

2.     Figure 1 was improved by marking the aortic lumen and the wall, please find it in the text.

3.     Figure for the Bland-Altman plot was added to the manuscript, please find it in the text.
