Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Chromatographic analysis methods play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, quality, and integrity of food products, as well as in monitoring environmental contaminants. This Special Issue aims to showcase recent advancements in, and applications of, chromatographic techniques in the fields of food processing, food quality control, and environmental monitoring. Analytical methods such as electrophoretic techniques and direct analyses via mass spectrometry are also highly encouraged and welcomed.

The topics covered in this Special Issue will include, but not be limited to:

  • Novel chromatographic methods for the analysis of food additives, contaminants, and adulterants.
  • The development and validation of chromatographic methods for the quantification of pesticides, mycotoxins, and other harmful substances in food products.
  • Applications of chromatography in the analysis of food packaging materials and migration studies.
  • Chromatographic techniques for the characterization of food flavors, aromas, and bioactive compounds.
  • Advances in chromatographic analysis for the detection and quantification of emerging contaminants in environmental samples.
  • Chromatographic methods for the monitoring of air, water, and soil pollutants in food production environments.
  • The integration of chromatography into other analytical techniques for comprehensive food and environmental analysis.

Researchers, scientists, and practitioners are invited to submit original research articles, reviews, and methodological studies that contribute to the advancement of chromatographic analysis methods in the context of food processing and environmental monitoring. This Special Issue aims to provide a platform for the sharing of cutting-edge research, innovative methodologies, and practical applications that address the current challenges and opportunities in these fields.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Processes is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
