The Lakeside Protein Toxins and Effectors (PTE) Conference, to be held on October 12-15, 2026 in Southbridge, Massachusetts, USA, is an international scientific meeting focused exclusively on the topic of Microbial Protein Toxins and Effectors. This four-day conference will feature scientific discussion on secreted toxins and effectors, focusing on structure and mechanisms of action. Topics will include cytotoxic and cytopathic effects on eukaryotic cells as well as interbacterial and interkingdom competition between microbes. The goal of the conference will be to provide a venue for the exchange of ideas, approaches, and knowledge in this highly interdisciplinary field of Toxin Biology that spans Biochemistry, Cell Biology, and Microbiology. Invited speakers include Stefan Raunser, Jorge Galan, Craig Roy, Cynthia Sears, and many more. Early registration discounts are available from March 1 to July 6.
