This conference is organized by MDPI’s open access journal Bioengineering (ISSN: 2306-5354, Impact Factor 3.7). Following the success of IOCBE 2024, an earlier edition in this series, BIOENG 2026 aims to gather leading minds from around the world once more to discuss transformative advances in bioengineering at the intersection with AI.

We are pleased to welcome you to Coatings 2026: Safe and Sustainable by Design Surface Treatment and Coatings, which will take place in Athens, Greece, from 20–22 April 2026. This conference aims to bring together researchers, industry professionals, and experts from around the world to share the latest advancements, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations in the field of Surface Finishing.

The surface finishing industry faces growing challenges, including stricter environmental regulations such as REACH and the EU Green Deal, increasing the need to adopt cleaner, more sustainable technologies. It is my pleasure to invite you to the sixth edition of the Symposium on Dynamic Response and Failure of Composite Materials, from June 15th to 19th, 2026, at Hotel Hermitage and Terme on the wonderful island of Ischia, Naples.

The symposium will address current research topics related to composite materials and sandwich structures and their components, with a strong emphasis on aerospace and automotive applications, in addition to more general topics on dynamic impact, design, and testing. In light of the America’s Cup in Naples in 2027, a session will also be organized on marine applications.

Similar to past editions, this is a great opportunity to meet people, share research ideas, and collaborate. The past editions were very well attended and widely appreciated by the participants, who noted the friendly and inviting atmosphere.
