Cover Story: Advancements in surgical techniques, organ preservation, and post-transplant care have broadened the scope of liver transplantation (LT). LT is transcending its traditional role as a curative intervention to become a strategy for improving survival compared to standard care. However, alongside this progress, ethical dilemmas arise due to organ shortages. Rigorous candidate selection and equitable access and allocation will be essential in addressing the ethical complexities inherent in LT advancements. View this paper
