Yes. We format all papers to the standard format used for papers published in MDPI journals. Please note that we do not take any responsibility for changes made to the formatting after editing has been completed.
We can format LaTeX files; however, we currently do not offer a LaTeX formatting service for papers for publication in non-MDPI journals. Please note that LaTeX submissions must meet the following criteria:
- You should submit a ZIP folder containing all of the files necessary to compile the .tex file into a PDF, including any figures and .bib or .sty files (we are not able to edit a singular .tex file with no zip).
- The .tex document in your ZIP file needs to compile in a program such as TeXstudio (even if the .tex compiles on Overleaf, this does not mean that it will compile with other LaTeX editing software).
- Your paper must be able to compile using the pdfTeX extension.
- The entire paper needs to be contained within one singular .tex file within the ZIP folder. Papers that are split into several smaller .tex files cannot be edited.
- The .tex must be able to compile without errors.
We are not able to create graphics based on raw research data. However, we can use your original figure files (such as .xslx and .ppt files) to create figures that meet journal requirements.
For ethical reasons, we cannot make changes to or enhance aspects such as the clarity, contrast, brightness, or resolution. We are, however, able to combine multiple photos, as well as add subfigure labels, to meet journal requirements.
In order to ensure the design process is as efficient as possible, please provide the following materials:
- The original manuscript.
- A brief summary of your research, including background/introduction, methods, results, and conclusions.
- Any visual elements you want to include, such as figures, diagrams, or any illustrations that can represent your research effectively. A reference or sketch of how you would like your Graphical Abstract to look would also be greatly beneficial but is not strictly necessary. The more material you are able to provide, the more efficient the design process and the more likely the finished product will meet your expectations.
