Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

It is our great pleasure to announce the Autonomous Navigation and Control Technology Special Issue. Autonomous navigation and control technology is increasingly applied to various objects of interest in different kinds of environments and applications, operating from indoor to outdoor, from land to ocean, from underwater/ underground to deep space, from micro bee robotics to huge space vehicles. This technology brings solutions to provide knowledge of object position/location and trajectory (velocity, acceleration, and time in some cases) and subsequently to control the object along a desired path, relying only on the embedded navigation system(s) and sensor(s). This Special Issue will present the recent research advances in the field of autonomous navigation and control in various applications, showing the development of novel algorithms, methodologies, and technologies to increase the synthetic navigation system’s performance.

We welcome original research papers that focus on fundamental research, as well as experimental research on the theme of autonomous navigation and control technology. Survey papers or tutorial papers on this topic are also highly encouraged and welcomed.

For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Technologies is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
