Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to invite you to contribute to this Special Issue hosted by the open-access journal Sustainability, on the topic of “Life Cycle Assessment and Construction Project Management for Sustainability”. Sustainability has crossed boundaries in all areas of human activities and development. Life-cycle assessment (LCA) is a framework for evaluating the impacts and costs of a system from initial construction to the end of life. LCA is a valuable framework for supporting sustainability assessments in construction and project management. The aim of this topic is to apply life-cycle sustainability to the different areas of construction, namely urban planning, architecture, construction project management, building industry on site, infrastructure construction, etc.
Therefore, the objective of this Special Issue is to collect original research contributions and review articles focusing on sustainability aspects (environmental, economic, and social) of different LCA and construction and project management and relevant disciplines, for example:
- Life-cycle assessment (LCA) for sustainability;
- Construction project development and management;
- Sustainable maintenance in infrastructures;
- Green building management, operations, and maintenance;
- BIM–GIS applications for energy-efficient buildings in sustainable urban development.
The main goal of the Special Issue is to determine and demonstrate possible life-cycle sustainability potentials connected to construction project management.
