Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

As Guest Editors we welcome researchers to submit research papers to this Special Issue, titled “Sustainable Land Use and Land Cover Planning and Development.” Recently, global society has been faced with unexpected climate crises caused by the emission of anthropogenic greenhouse gases originating from untamed urban land uses and land covers. To solve or respond to climate crises and disasters, it is necessary for urban planners and engineers to carefully change conventional approaches to land development into sustainable strategies in consideration of harmony with Nature.

Therefore, this Special Issue will cover the following research fields: sustainable land use planning and development for climate change response (mitigation and adaptation); carbon-neutral city measures; sustainable land cover planning and development for water cycle and disaster management; governance; sustainable resource and energy management for circular economy etc.

This Special Issue will supplement the literature addressing urban land use and land cover planning and development in line with sustainable development, climate change mitigation and adaptation, carbon-neutral city development, disaster management, circular economy, governance, etc.
