Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

A number of both innovative and conventional technologies and processes can be used for pollution control and environment protection. Flue gas and solid waste treatments are two of the main research topics on pollution reduction technologies because they play a key role in the integrated management of urban and industrial wastes. However, there are still scientific and technical information gaps in the fields of treatment processes of flue gas emissions and solid waste on basic and applied scales. Therefore, we invite researchers and scholars to submit original research articles, from basic to applied research, as well as pilot industrial applications/demo, and review articles on the recent advances in the field to the Special Issue on “Reduction Technology, Flue Gas Treatment Plants and Solid Waste Treatment Plants,” which can contribute to the definition of the best available techniques. Experimental and modeling manuscripts as well as life cycle assessment or techno-economic analysis are extremely welcome.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Sustainability is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
