Energy Management of Multi-Energy Storage Systems

Dear Colleagues,

The special issue on Energy Management of Multi-Energy Storage Systems welcomes original research papers and reviews. Topics include, but are not limited to the following:

• Technology and applications of different types of battery storage systems such as electrochemical, chemical, mechanical, electrical and thermal energy storage systems
• Modelling, control, optimization, and engineering aspects of energy storage systems
• Demand response and power management using energy storage systems in the presence of renewable energy generation
• Applications and requirements of energy storage technologies in grid-scale electrical storage, transportation electrification, off-grid systems, uninterruptible power supplies, and portable electronic applications
• Control and management of large-scale distributed storage systems including vehicle-to-grid, integrated residential/commercial energy storage, and multi-purpose and hybrid storage systems
• Integrating of energy storage systems into smart power grid
• Planning and management of various energy storage technologies
• Voltage/frequency regulation of AC, DC and hybrid power grids
• Bidirectional DC/DC power electronics with application to bidirectional energy storage systems

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Sustainability is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
