Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The ever growing world population, carries high impacts reaching almost every aquatic environment. As a result, different water niches suffer from varying levels of pollutants.

The following special issue is dedicated to studies focusing on freshwater (i.e. lakes and rivers), estuaries and marine water pollution levels. The main purpose of this issue is to form a wide scope of studies, describing the relation between various pollutants presence to the environmental damage observed.

In order to produce valuable reproducible results that could be reassessed elsewhere, we highly encourage all authors, avoiding a description of ‘composition dependent’ measures (e.g. ΣPAHs, ΣPCBs). Detailed composition studies at all levels are appreciated.

We also highly encourage studies from developing countries or low budget quantitative studies.
