Epigenetic and Hormonal Regulation of Plant Development

Dear Colleagues,

Plant growth and development are regulated by the coordinated action of multiple signaling networks. This Special Issue aims to explore the intricate interplay between epigenetic mechanisms and hormonal regulation in shaping plant defense and growth. Epigenetic mechanisms, including DNA methylation, histone acetylation/methylation, and non-coding RNA regulation, stably modulate gene expression, while phytohormones such as auxins, cytokinins, gibberellins, and abscisic acid act as key signaling molecules to coordinate growth, organogenesis, flowering, senescence, and stress responses.

This Special Issue emphasizes recent, original research articles, reviews, and opinions related to hormone perception, response, synthesis, and regulation and gene regulatory mechanisms in plant development.

Manuscript Submission Information

Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Plants is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
