Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Genetic variability often represents a major determinant of drug efficacy and safety, thereby shaping clinical decision-making on the drug and dosing regimen. Pharmacogenomics, as the study of how genetic variation influences individual drug response, is, therefore, increasingly transforming the field of pharmaceutics toward personalized therapy.
The Special Issue entitled Advances in Pharmacogenomics and Personalized Therapy invites cutting-edge research and comprehensive reviews that highlight emerging discoveries, technological innovations, and clinical applications with the potential to prompt integration of pharmacogenomic insights into pharmaceutics and individualized medicine. We welcome contributions that explore genetic determinants of drug metabolism, transport, and molecular targeting; the identification and validation of pharmacogenomic biomarkers; and approaches to optimize drug formulation, delivery systems, and dosage regimens based on genomic data. Studies employing computational modeling and bioinformatics to predict gene–drug interactions, and those addressing regulatory, ethical, or implementation challenges in translating genomic information into routine clinical practice are highly encouraged.
By bringing together the scientific achievements of molecular scientists, clinicians, and translational experts, this Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current progress and remaining barriers in the field. Ultimately, the goal is to advance the development of safer, more effective, and truly personalized therapeutic strategies that will improve patient outcomes and support the broader adoption of pharmacogenomics in modern healthcare.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Pharmaceutics is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2900 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
