XVIII International Parvovirus Workshop

The XVIII International Parvovirus Workshop will take place in Rimini, Italy, from 9 to 12 June 2020. It will be organised in joined partnership by INBB (Istituto Nazionale Biostrutture e Biosistemi), Italy, the Depatment of Pharmacy and Biotechnology and Rimini Campus at the University of Bologna, Italy, the DKFZ (German Cancer Research Center, Heidelberg, Germany) and the LIH (Luxembourg Institute of Health).

The international workshops dedicated to parvoviruses take place every two years and are events strictly focused on all aspects of parvoviruses - structure, life cycle, tissue-tropism, virus-host interactions, vectorology, clinical applications. These international conferences attract worldwide attention and provide excellent opportunities for both senior and younger scientists to meet and interact in a very dynamic and friendly setting.

The XVIII Parvovirus Workshop will constitute an excellent opportunity to focus the research topics in this area, from genomics and molecular structure of parvoviruses to the study of virus-cell interactions, from the pathogenic characteristics of viruses of clinical relevance to the development of viral vectors for gene therapy or for oncolytic virotherapy, with significant outcomes of medical and translational interest.
