Special Issue Information

Lifestyle factors such as dietary intake are important in risk reduction of stroke. This Special Issue will focus on original research and scoping or systematic reviews on the role of diet in the prevention of primary or second/recurrent stroke. We will also consider papers that describe the diet of stroke survivors or describe successful changes to diet to prevent second stroke in this group.

In this instance, diet could be a dietary pattern, individual foods or food groups or nutrients that may reduce the risk of stroke. This Special Issue is not focusing on non-nutritive food components or complementary medicine approaches.
