Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation: Current Advances and Best Practices
This special issue belongs to the section “Intensive Care/ Anesthesiology“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In recent decades, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) has become a vital element of emergency and critical care. From early techniques like chest compressions and rescue breathing to the development of advanced life support, the evolution of CPR reflects sustained efforts to improve survival and neurological outcomes after cardiac arrest.
This Special Issue aims to present key developments in CPR science and clinical application, spanning prehospital, in-hospital, and post-resuscitation phases, with a focus on integrating emerging evidence into best practices that enhance patient outcomes and prognosis.
Recent innovations include mechanical CPR, real-time feedback tools, extracorporeal CPR (ECPR), and AI-based response systems. Advances in targeted temperature management and neuroprotective strategies also influence modern resuscitation protocols.
For this Special Issue, we invite original studies, reviews, clinical trials, and expert perspectives on all aspects of CPR.
