“I am very honored to receive such a wonderful award.

I would like to thank all the people who have supported me.

This paper is the result of joint research between the University of Tokyo and Komatsu Ltd.

Komatsu is known as one of the largest construction, mining, and industrial machinery manufacturers in Japan.

Since 2007, Komatsu Ltd. and the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Tokyo have been engaged in joint research and education of students through the framework of social collaboration courses.

By applying the University of Tokyo's leading-edge knowledge and technology to the problems of industrial sites, we have brought many innovations to industry.

In this paper, we estimated the thermal displacement of a machining center manufactured by Komatsu NTC Ltd. using temperature data from several hundred points.

The low-cost multi-point temperature measurement is an innovative method for robust and accurate thermal displacement estimation.

We will keep our efforts to develop new technologies and provide value for the manufacturing industry.”
