Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The financial industry has been tremendously transformed by the modern digital era. This has disrupted many financial services, such as financing, investment, transaction, insurance, and advisory services. The growth and expansion of digital finance will inevitably have significant implications for the way we understand and characterize future financial risks and performance. However, little is known about the risks and performance of this digital finance, which is intriguing, considering it has raised many concerns regarding bubbles, cybersecurity, environmental impact, fraud, or regulation violations.

A Special Issue of the Journal of Risk and Financial Management (JRFM), entitled “Risk and Financial Management of Digital Finance,” and edited by Dr. Rayenda, Dr. Irwan Trinugroho, Dr. Chor Foon Tang and Dr. Evan Lau, will be devoted to this topic, which is part of Asia-Pacific Conference on Economics and Finance 2022. This Special Issue will bring together practical, state-of-the-art applications of econometrics and statistical techniques to address this topic. We are open to any methodological innovation and research designs, such as survey designs, secondary data (both time-series and panel data), and experimental studies.

This Special Issue will foster and promote state-of-the-art research on any digital finance issues related to risk and financial management in:

  • Assets pricing of cryptocurrencies and NFTs;
  • Crowdfunding;
  • Digital investment (online trading and robo-advisor);
  • Digital payments and digital remittance;
  • High-frequency trading and algorithmic trading;
  • P2P lending;
  • Insurtech, Proptech, and Regtech.

The Guest Editors invite investigators to contribute original research articles on the topic of “Risk and Financial Management of Digital Finance.” All submissions must contain original, unpublished work that is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
