We are pleased to inform you that Journalism and Media (ISSN: 2673-5172) has been accepted as a Class A journal, sector 14/C2 (Sociology of culture and communication), in ANVUR (Agenzia Nazionale di Valutazione del Sistema Universitario e della Ricerca). This is in addition to already being listed as a scientific journal in Area 14 (Political and social sciences).
We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all the authors, reviewers, and editors who have contributed to our journal and made this possible. This achievement is very important to us as it is proof of our successful collaboration with Italian communication scholars. It also offers the Italian communication scholarly community an additional outlet for publication that is highly ranked in their country.
Journalism and Media is an open access journal of scientific research on the social, economic, political, and cultural dimensions of journalism and the media, with a special interest in their latest developments and transformations. Our aim is to publish papers on key issues and contribute to theoretical, methodological, and empirical innovation in this field. Therefore, the journal responds to a highly dynamic scientific field that is characterized by its centrality in contemporary societies. It offers new knowledge of the role and impact of journalism and the media in a globalized world, from a broad, diverse, and rigorous perspective, with the aim of placing itself at the center of scientific debates and providing a valuable service to scholars in this field. Journalism and Media publishes research articles, essays, and review papers, as well as Special Issues on particular subjects.
