Special Issue Information

Dear colleagues,

The surgical treatment of sella disease has advanced in recent decades with the introduction and development of endoscopic apparatuses and techniques. We have witnessed the milestone of transsphenoidal surgery in pituitary surgeries. Different endoscopic approaches and skills were explored and applied to facilitate the complete removal of tumors. The surgical pathology therefore advanced, and various specific markers of sella disease as well as peripheral neuropathy were discovered. It is commonplace to state that, for every question answered in clinical medicine and basic science, multiple new queries and debates arise.

In this Special Issue of JCM, we aim to focus on the surgical treatment of sella disease and peripheral neuropathy, which covers fields from surgical approaches, experiences, and clinical trials of sella disease to pathological, molecular, and interventional studies on peripheral neuropathy. Research highlighting the evolving treatment and prevention paradigms, diagnostic techniques, and pathophysiology of sella disease and peripheral neuropathy using a multidisciplinary precision-medicine-oriented approach will lie at the core of this Special Issue.
