Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite selected authors to submit extended versions of their papers from the 6th International workshop on Metrology for Automotive (MetroAutomotive) to this Special Issue of Instruments. These extended versions must provide a minimum of 50% new content and must not exceed 30% copy/paste from the proceedings paper. In addition, authors who also focus on topics related to the MetroAutomotive workshop may be considered upon writing an expression of interest to the Guest Editor.
This Special Issue, associated with MetroAutomotive, intends to provide a rigorous environment for the dissemination of advanced research in measurement science, instrumentation, and data-driven validation for contemporary automotive systems.
This Special Issue will welcome contributions that move beyond incremental performance reporting and instead advance the metrological reliability, traceability, uncertainty evaluation, and validation of automotive technologies. Potential authors are encouraged to submit extended and substantially enhanced studies on topics such as advanced sensing for driver and vehicle safety, AI-driven metrology, software-defined vehicles, battery monitoring and diagnostics, sensor fusion, communication-aware measurement systems, and experimental methodologies for intelligent mobility platforms. We particularly welcome papers that bridge theory and practice, combining methodological novelty with experimental evidence and clear relevance to industrial or real-world automotive applications.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Instruments is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
