Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Bioremediation aims at mitigating environmental organic and inorganic pollution exploiting different organisms (e.g., algae, plants, bacteria and fungi) from environmental matrices such as water and soil. Compared to other approaches, it is ecofriendly, safer for the professional workers, and is often cheaper. In the last few years, many authors have confirmed the effectiveness of several organisms, especially at a laboratory scale; however, there is still a lot of work to be done to select new organisms and to scale up these technologies to make bioremediation a routine process.

We are pleased to announce this Special Issue entitled “Topical Advisory Panel Members' Collection Series: Applied Ecology and Bioremediation”. This Special Issue will contain papers from researchers invited by the Topical Advisory Panel Members. This Special Issue aims to provide a venue for networking and communication between IJERPH and scholars in the field of applied ecology and environmental microbiology. All papers will be published with fully open access after peer review.
