Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Dementia is an escalating global health challenge, currently affecting over 55 million people worldwide. With aging populations on the rise, the demand for effective, person-centered interventions to support people living with dementia has become increasingly critical. This Special Issue, “Interventions to Improve the Care of People Living with Dementia”, will showcase original research, systematic reviews, and case studies that explore innovative, evidence-based approaches to enhancing dementia care across diverse settings.

This Special Issue will highlight multidisciplinary strategies including clinical, technological, psychosocial, non-pharmacological, and environmental interventions to improve quality of life, uphold dignity, and provide meaningful support to caregivers and care recipients. Key areas of focus include early diagnosis and care planning, dementia-friendly environments, assistive technologies, non-pharmacological interventions, caregiver education and support, culturally tailored care models, and community-based interventions.

We invite contributions from researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and advocates dedicated to transforming dementia care through practical, sustainable, and compassionate approaches. By sharing cutting-edge findings and best practices, this collection will serve to inform future policies, shape clinical standards, and improve outcomes for individuals and families affected by dementia. Submissions emphasizing inclusivity, equity, and innovation in dementia care are especially encouraged.
