Special Issue "Genetic Basis of Animal Economic Traits"

Dear Colleagues,

The genetic analysis of important economic traits in domesticated animals is a prerequisite for animal genetic breeding. Due to the complexity of the genetic mechanism for the formation of economic traits, so far, there are only a handful of major genes and causal mutation sites that have been identified and functionally verified. In recent years, with the large-scale application of genome sequencing technology, the efficiency of genetic resource discovery and utilization has been greatly improved. At the same time, the emergence of other omics, such as proteins, has injected a new impetus into the analysis of the genetic mechanism of important traits in agricultural animals. Thus, the Special Issue of “Genetic Basis of Animal Economic Traits” is largely interested in the related original research topics.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
