Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly evolved from traditional task-focused systems to human-centered intelligence systems, which are designed to understand, assist, and collaborate with humans. Recent advances in Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) have enabled these systems to integrate, process, and interpret complex, unstructured, and heterogenous data types, helping AI recognize patterns in human behavior, assess context, and offer personalized recommendation or support.
The Special Issue aims to bring together recent advances in ML and DL for the development of human-centered intelligence systems that leverage multimodal data to enhance human understanding, decision-making, and interaction. We invite contribution from a wide range of disciplines not limited to computer vision, natural language processing, speech recognition, and healthcare informatics that demonstrate how AI can learn from, integrate, and reason over multiple data modalities, which are not limited to image, text, speech, sensor signals, and electronic health records, to create system that are adaptive and explainable.
By contributing to this Special Issue, authors help promote research that bridges technical innovation with human-centered design principles, ensuring that AI-based systems are not only powerful and data-driven but also transparent and aligned with human values.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
