Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The air transport industry is characterized by its dynamic nature, influenced by a multitude of factors. Some of these factors are within the company's control, while others are external and beyond management. For instance, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted the industry, resulting in the exit of numerous operators. Additionally, climate change is driving the industry to innovate and produce more environmentally fuel-efficient aircrafts. This Special Issue aims to delve into the intricate aspects of air transport economics and finance, examining determinants such as the regulatory framework, competitive dynamics, environmental consolidation, uncertainties, economic complexity, globalization, technological innovation and advancements. The objective is to clarify the interconnected elements that propel progress in air transport economics and finance. By facilitating a dialogue that incorporates diverse viewpoints, this Special Issue seeks to provide a comprehensive analysis of the complex nature of air transport economics and finance.
