22–26 August 2022, Prague, Czech Republic
6th European Congress of Conservation Biology: “Biodiversity Crisis in a Changing World” (ECCB 2022)

The current biodiversity crisis has led to a call for transformative change globally and in Europe—change in how we interact with nature to reduce pressure on biodiversity and secure nature’s benefits to humanity. This challenges how we perform conservation science and calls for science-based practices that put humans and nature on a track that takes us out of the current crisis.

Practitioners, consultants, politicians, conservation and social scientists, and students are welcomed to discuss and to design new guidelines, tools, and strategies in order to meet the new challenges emerging in the context of the biodiversity crisis.

The congress will take place in the campus of Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU). The campus is about 20 minutes from the city center, situated in the northwest suburb of Prague—in the city district Suchdol. It is a quiet garden-suburb with a few small, protected areas nearby. Due to its location, Prague a very good initial point for field excursions across the whole Bohemia.
