Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Nanoporous materials have significantly contributed to the development of material science and material-based technology. Materials, such as porous carbon, zeolites, porous polymers and porous silica, have already been used by industries for many years. Emerging porous metal-organic frameworks and covalent organic frameworks are also considered to be potential material for several industrial applications, such as gas separation or purification, gas storage, catalysis, dehumidification, drug delivery, protective coating, sensors, ion exchange, etc.

Adsorption properties governed by the structure and composition of nanoporous material, and their facile synthesis and production scalability, have played a key role in industrial utility.

Therefore, research on methods for synthesis, characterization and testing properties of nanoporous materials are of great interest.

We invite scientists to submit research papers to this Special Issue on “Synthesis and Properties of Nanoporous Materials”, discussing both experimental and theoretical developments. The Special Issue covers contributions on all types of nanaoporous materials, such porous carbon, silica, zeolites, polymers, metal–organic frameworks, covalent organic frameworks, and clays. Particular emphasis is given to synthesis, scale up, advance characterization methods, and elucidation of structure properties in relation to nanoporous material.  We hope to offer an international portal to share some of the exciting work on nanoporous material in this open access journal, Crystal.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Crystals is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 1600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
