Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Muscle diseases in dogs and cats can be caused by either congenital causes or acquired causes, such as intrinsic disorders, traumatic disorders, and complications. Muscle changes such as muscle atrophy and contracture generally do not improve if treatment is initiated after their onset. Therefore, when there is a possibility of muscle lesions occurring, continuous monitoring and post-treatment monitoring for lesions are required, and the methods used should be clinically simple. This Special Issue of Animals will explore clinically feasible early diagnostic methods for muscle diseases in dogs and cats and treatments to disrupt the progression of the condition. We invite researchers to contribute innovative papers from different research areas, such as medical and biological engineering, veterinary medicine, and physical therapy, to this Special Issue. Interdisciplinary studies will also be considered.
