Special Issue Information
A robotic network consists of a collection of mobile robots which are capable of moving around in their environment. With sensing capabilities provided by the embedded sensors, robotic networks become more powerful and have many applications including surveillance, search and rescue, mining agricultural foraging, autonomous arming formation, and distributed sensing in micromachinery or human body.
The aim of this special issue is to explore new trends and challenges, and present to both academy and industry communities the recent research and developments in robotics networks. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Mobility control of robotics
- Distributed algorithms and protocols
- Modeling, simulation and optimization
- Integration of robotics and sensors
- Robot cooperation
- Testbeds and implementation
- Real-world deployments and applications
- Communication or network techniques for robots
